Touch Wood Rings, Wear the warmth of wood

Rose wood wedding rings with maple wood bands ~

Nicola and David -
"We have received our rings and they're wonderful! I'd only been wearing it for 2 hours and three people had already noticed it and asked me about it! Justin and I are so happy with our choice. Funny enough, when my mom tried on my ring she commented, "Wow, it's so much warmer than gold or silver." I guess your motto is quite appropriate. Thank you so much for making it possible for us to make a sustainable choice for our wedding bands. "

Blue spruce wood rings with juniper heartwood bands

These blue spruce and juniper heart wood rings were designed by and created for a couple in Oregon.

"I am so grateful for your hard work, excellent service, and beautiful craftsmanship that have gone into creating our rings and getting them to us.

I had never wanted to wear something flashy, and I had also recently resolved not to buy diamonds because of the ethical issues.

As two musicians who play wooden instruments (flute and clarinet) we appreciate the warmth and soul of wood. There is a liveliness and spirit in my ring that I have never felt in other, metal rings I've worn. When I placed it on my finger, it fit perfectly. I marveled at the subtlety and elegance of the actual ring." Thank you ~ Katherine

Musical wooden rings

This set of Touch Wood wedding rings was designed by a musician couple. They wanted to incorporate wood from each of their instruments. The two narrow bands on these birds eye maple wood rings are Grenadilla and Rosewood. Grenadilla (also called African black wood) is what clarinets are made of and the rosewood is the wood used in a marimba.

Here are some of Mike's comments:
"I don't know if this is a similar experience to a metal ring.... but this ring feels so good.... comforting, even.... a palpable energy! I'm so proud of it, the grenadilla and rosewood go so well together. David's amazing. The craftmanship is to not be believed. "

Walnut Wood Rings

Walnut. Dark brown, honey toned and almost black... walnut comes in so many shades and grains, it's spectacular. Alone or in combination with other woods.

Blue spruce is a beauty with walnut.

Walnut, spruce and oak wood rings

There is something quite magical about doing custom work.

This very beautiful design was created by a couple in Vancouver, British Columbia.

What folks envision and then what David creates from their vision is artistic collaboration at it's finest.
The process is exciting. I thoroughly enjoy communicating with people as they design their rings, then communicating their desires to David who in turn creates their rings.

These rings are made of walnut, oak, blue spruce. The ring on the left also has a koa liner.

Stone and Wood Ring

A ring of love.

The gentleman enlisted the help of his Dad who sent us three kinds of wood from the family farm. Oak, cherry wood and walnut.

The couple decided on two of these woods to use for her engagement ring.

They had found a crystal on a hike they had taken and wanted to somehow incorporate a bit of the stone. David crafted the ring of walnut and oak wood they sent us and embedded the center band with crushed stone from the found crystal. The ring is a size 6 and 4mm wide.

"Wow!! The ring is absolutely beautiful! My parents really enjoyed seeing the ring and were really impressed by it. Thank you so much making this beautiful ring that we can now have to show our love for each other. We can't express to you enough how grateful and blessed we feel to have it. I guess the next thing that we will have to set up are the plans for the wedding bands."

This Colorado couple wrote:
"We were both amazed at the finished product. I was very nervous about trying it on. I had convinced myself that I was sized incorrectly, and I'd be heart-broken to have to wait on a new ring. She slid hers on, and loved it. After some convincing, I hesitantly put on my ring. It slipped onto my finger like I'd been wearing it for years. I had to fight the desire to wear it for the rest of the weekend.
Thanks so much! The rings are beautiful, and so much more than we anticipated."
