Wooden rings designed by a Canadian couple

Lianne and Stu first made contact with us last summer. They designed their rings incorporating two striking woods. Their rings are made of Grenadilla with wide dark koa wood bands and koa wood liners.
Here is what Lianne wrote to us the other day.
"Hi Nicola and David,
We got our rings yesterday, and we LOVE THEM!!! They are stunning. I knew they would be lovely from the photos, but as happy customers on your site say, the photos do not do the rings justice! Stu and I agreed not to try them on at the same time, until we are married ;) but we eagerly took turns trying our lovely rings on as we sat on the couch, by the fireplace. They also fit perfectly, so thank you for all the love and hard work that went into making them perfect!! We will definitely send you some photos from the wedding!
take care, Lianne "

David and I look forward to those wedding photos and as always we are so grateful to all the lovely folks who, like Lianne and Stu, wander into our lives and let us share in their joy.

Wood you marry me?

He sought an alternative to diamonds and gemstones.
He will ask his sweetheart to marry him and will be proposing with this wooden ring he designed especially for her.

This wooden engagement ring was made of Hawaiian Koa with two bands of blue spruce and a center band of zebra wood.
We await the good news and won't say anymore for now :)

Sabrina and Eric's Touch Wood Wedding Rings

A lovely couple (newlyweds) from Nebraska and the pic they sent to us from their wedding day wearing their wooden rings. (photographer Bob Meier)
"We just wanted to thank you again for our beautiful wedding rings! Our wedding day went just fine and we received many compliments (and still do) on our Touch Wood Rings. We love wearing them!
It was wonderful to "meet" you both, --we just cannot say how fortunate we feel to have stumbled on your website during our search for wedding rings--we are so happy with them and just loved the experience of working with you and David. It makes our rings truly something special. We will keep up with you both on your websites--we love seeing the photographs you post on your blog."

Sabrina and Eric designed these walnut rings with juniper heartwood liners and oak bands.

A wood ring from the orchard

For this ring, MLE secretly collected three woods from her fiance's orchard, she sent the wood to David, waited for the wood to dry and cure ~ (it was tucked into the end compartment of our wood cook stove for a couple of months) ~ and then left it in David's hands to create something beautiful using her three woods.

In her own words ~

"How do I love the ring, there are not the words to describe. My fiance was very touched by the whole thing, the thought behind the ring, the inscription, the workmanship (it fits perfectly). I am thankful for the whole experience and wish you both continued health and happiness."

Blue spruce and juniper heart wood rings for a lovely texan couple

A note from Char " The countdown to the big day has officially begun, and in the midst of getting things in order, I wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know that our rings are amazing! Not only are they aesthetically beautiful to behold, the feeling of them (and even the smell!) is something I've never before experienced. Rian and I are so grateful to you both, for your work, your ideals, and the way in which you conduct yourselves. From the beginning inquiry to the end result, it has been an absolute pleasure working with you. You both, individually and together, have so much to offer this universe, and you are accomplishing it gorgeously. Our rings were SO much MORE beautiful 'in person' than they were in the wonderful photographs you thoughtfully sent !"

Wooden rings for a March 16th Wedding

These striking wooden rings were designed by a couple in Illinois. When they first contacted us they wrote;
"We have been looking at your website for the past few months now, but we loved the idea of getting touch wood rings for our wedding from the very beginning. The wooden rings on your website look beautiful and we would both feel very healthy and balanced to be wearing one. "

Green wedding rings, wooden rings from touch wood rings

This beautiful design combines koa and purpleheart wood. The narrow bands on each of the rings is spiraled. This is a Hawaiian koa wood ring using koa wood that changes colour quite dramatically so that it combines a very golden toned koa and the darker richer koa wood. This is a man's ring.
This ring is walnut with a blue spruce band. The blue spruce has a natural 'knot' center front. It's actually more of a 'bird's eye' than a knot :)
The other ring in this set is a classic koa wood ring.

This man's wooden ring has a juniper heartwood liner and a zebra wood exterior.

Warm comments about Touch Wood Rings

"I received the rings today and they are absolutely beautiful! They are even more beautiful than the photos and the feel of them is divine. Mine fits perfectly and I'm sure M's will fit perfectly as well. This process has been like a dream come true with you and David! I couldn't ask for a better way to make such a special purchase. Thank you for all that you two do, and the ecological and tender way in which you do it. I will be passing the word on about you two and Touch Wood rings."
