Our first real snowfall of 2013 in the first light of morning.

and from the winter white of the meadow to some beautiful colour ...
thanks to Melissa for sharing these photos of her wedding with us!

She writes: "We loved the ring you did for Daniel so much - thank you for all the time you spent with us making this unique wedding ring.  I thought i would share some of the photos from our day!

Thank you again for everything - we will definitely recommend you.   Melissa and Daniel"

A marmot, a cat, a very cool Canadian couple ... and their Touch Wood Rings

In March of this year, Dawn and James contacted us to inquire about Touch Wood Rings for their wedding rings.  Upon their return from a trip to South Africa, we discussed designs and woods and tapers and that kind of thing... and in May David got to work creating their rings.

In mid June, when they received their rings, Dawn wrote ....

We wanted to let you know that we received our rings and they are absolutely stunning! They both fit perfectly.  We're still puzzled at how David exactly does what he does and how he does it so well! The rings are incredibly light in weight and so vibrant in colour and tone.  We'll be sure to send you photos of them (and us on the sidelines!) at our wedding.

Truly, thank you both for making such beautiful rings, and for making the process very easy for us!
I think it has been one of the most enjoyable parts of wedding planning!

Take care and we'll be in touch soon!

James and Dawn celebrated their wedding in August and although their beloved pets weren't at the ceremony ( how do you include a cat and a marmot??) I wanted to share these two beautiful photos that Dawn shared with us in June.  Mu is their sweet kitty and Herman, as Dawn explained,  is a little Vancouver Island Marmot that she raised after he was rejected by his mother for being too small and not growing normally.  He's less than a year old in this picture, but is almost 4 years old now. (What a sweetie!!)

Earlier this month we heard from Dawn and James again with those promised wedding pics!!  Beautiful!

Dawn writes:  We wanted to send along some photos from our wedding that your rings played a major part in!  Everything went very well and any glitch was barely noticed or didn't matter.  There was so much colour, the rings were a perfect complement!  We've had many people admire our rings and think the whole concept is awesome.  We've even passed on your website address to more than a few!

Thank you again so much to both you and David! We're both still very much in love with what you made us.

It's heartwarming to see our work being worn with love by two people so obviously in love.  Thanks so much to you both Dawn and James.  What an absolute pleasure it's been working with you!  And love to your sweet critters too!  We're pretty partial to Marmots on the meadow.

A ring warming, a beloved pup and his delightful humans.

"After 14 years together,
Payton and I finally got married this past weekend.

It was the most intimate, joyous, beautiful day surrounded by our loving friends and family. Our pup Atrus had a blast visiting with all of our guests - he's such a people dog! We passed around our rings to all of our guests during the ceremony for a "ring warming", so everyone had a chance to hold/admire our amazing wooden rings and also to infuse them with love, prayers and blessings for our marriage.

We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful the rings are. Thank you for all of your hard work - we wear them with pride.  We are so happy you guys were able to be a part of our process, too!  Megan and Payton"

David and I would like to wish Atrus a long, frolicksome, carefree life with his happily married humans.  And a long and happy life to Payton and Megan too.   Here`s to good hiking, warm tea and forever friends, of the two legged and four legged variety. Thanks you guys.  Much Love.  Nicola and David.

On a side note ~ if you live in the Burlington, Vermont area and have a pooch or a feline friend who deserves some TLC (and whose best friend doesn't?!) Do visit Megan`s website.  This is her website header - a beautiful shot of their (wedding) dog Atrus.  Clicking on Atrus will take you to Megan`s site.
