Paul (from across the pond in Guernsey) was initially interested in a Hawaiian Koa wood ring but decided instead to commission David to create a classic Touch Wood Ring of black walnut wood.
One of his favorite trees, as it turns out, is the oldest black walnut tree in England.
Of his finished ring Paul had this to say; "How wonderful! As Michel Roux says, "The simpler a dish the more the chefs skill is on display". It is exactly what I had pictured in my mind! Literally perfect. :)
